Hisense U7H smart tv aims to capture Kenya’s mid-range market

The Hisense U7H caters to the preferences of the discerning consumer, offering an enticing blend of features and affordability.

In our quest to explore the latest TVs in the market, we have decided to turn back to the past – albeit temporarily- to turn your attention to the Hisense U7H, a 4K smart TV that’s making waves in the local market. Released in 2022, this lower mid-range TV offers a range of features that cater to a variety of needs. Available in sizes ranging from 55 inches to 85 inches, the Hisense U7H allows you to select the perfect size for your entertainment space.

It boasts slightly improved overall picture quality and the inclusion of HDMI 2.1 bandwidth, though it lacks the Mini LED backlight seen in the higher-end Hisense U8H. The TV comes equipped with the user-friendly Google TV 11 interface; an upgraded iteration of the Android TV interface featured in the 2021 Hisense lineup.

A winning choice for the average consumer

It truly shines in well-lit living rooms, delivering a delightful experience for those enjoying Standard Dynamic Range (SDR) Free-to-Air TV, occasional High Dynamic Range (HDR) content, and Dolby Vision. With its 2.1 speakers, it also ensures a satisfying audio experience. Gamers, too, have reason to celebrate, as this TV boasts a full HDMI 2.1 implementation, supporting 4K gaming at 120/144Hz with a dedicated game mode. Notably, the TV features a mini-LED backlight, local dimming zones, and vibrant Quantum Dot color, all built upon an LCD technology panel.

Versatility for various viewing scenarios

The Hisense U7H proves to be a versatile choice, excelling in multiple usage scenarios. For movie enthusiasts, it offers a stellar experience when watching both SDR and HDR content in dark rooms, thanks to its outstanding contrast ratio and effective local dimming feature. It also fares admirably in bright rooms, effortlessly overcoming glare due to its high SDR peak brightness and strong reflection handling capabilities, although its viewing angle is somewhat limited.

Gamers can anticipate a gratifying experience, thanks to its low input lag and a host of gaming features. However, it’s essential to note that its relatively slow response time hinders its suitability as a PC monitor, and it struggles to display 4K content at 120Hz properly.
