TECNO has announced the Camon 30 series, which, as its name suggests, is a successor to the Camon 20 lineup that arrived last year. TECNO has also kept its Camon script: there is a Premier model, a Pro variant, and a vanilla Camon 30. Per our understanding, the difference between them is, of course, camera performance. The Premier is packed to the brim with promising shooters and also marks the first time that TECNO has packed 50 MP sensors onto a Camon device.
The Camon 30 Premier and Pro appear to rock 5G radios, but the entry-level model will be limited to 4G (there will be another one with 5G, but it is unclear if it will make its way to Kenya).
This is not a big deal for markets like Kenya, but carriers have been ramping up 5G coverage to small towns beyond Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, and Nakuru.
