Uber has launched a new travel option called “Uber Safari” in Cape Town, South Africa, as part of its ‘Go Anywhere’ series. This service, available from October 4 to January 25, offers a day trip to Aquila Private Game Reserve, where customers can view the big five animals: lions, elephants, buffalos, cheetahs, and rhinos.
The trip includes pickup in Cape Town in an Uber Safari-branded vehicle, a welcome toast and lunch at Aquila, and a guided game drive with experienced rangers. Riders will also access the reserve’s grounds before returning to Cape Town.
“We’ve designed our ‘Go Anywhere’ series to help our customers book bucket list adventures with the Uber convenience they know and love,” said Frans Hiemstra, Regional General Manager of Uber in the Middle East and Africa. “With Uber Safari – one of our most wild offerings to date – our Reserve technology makes it easier than ever to unlock an epic South African travel experience.”
Reservations open on October 2 and can be booked 24 hours to 90 days in advance through the Uber app. Trips will run on Fridays and Saturdays, with a flat fee of $200 for up to four guests. Each booking contributes to wildlife conservation efforts at Aquila.
