In a surprising development, Tecno is one of the few android manufacturers to receive the Android 14 update. This is update is quite the statement from Tecno, aimed at its Camon 20 Premier phones in selected markets such as India, and later in the African markets.
The update can also be attributed Oppo’s same move in 2022, with their Android 13 update to their X5 and X5 Pro flagship models.
The Tecno Camon 20 Premier is a midrange phone which boasts a 108MP ultra-wide camera, auto focus supported 50MP RGBW main camera, and a Dimensity 8050 processor. Also, it has a 45W fast charge capability, all being powered by a 5000mAH battery.
With an impressive AMOLED display and a likeable feel, the Tecno Canon 20 Premier will hopefully benefit from some re-organization in its HiOS, which may seem cluttered at times. Also, there is expected improvements to its Gallery functionalities, Clock, multitasking panels, and an overall refined user experience.
Having had announced Beta testing of the Android 14, the rollout will be gradual, with some handsets getting the updates ahead of others.
