If you are a fan of Samsung smartphones, then you should be aware that the South Korean phone maker works hard to ensure that its customers are served by software updates in a timely manner. The company has been performing very well in the past in terms of delivering timely updates. The S23 lineup, which includes the S23 and the S23 Ultra, is already receiving Android 14 with One UI 6.0. Others will follow soon, and past flagship devices can also receive the update, albeit in beta form.

The good news is that the A34 and A54 are also receiving One UI 6.0 in different parts of the world. These devices succeeded the midrange A33 and A53 from 2022 (Samsung did not release the A74 and chose to end the A7x line in favour of the FE series), and they are very much loved among their users.

The software overhaul is timely because One UI was becoming stale with some aging software features and an overall look. In its latest form, the skin brings many improvements to the table.
Here are some of them:
- Better lock screen customization
- Redesigned quick settings panel
- Notification separation and sorting
- Better app labels
- You can now drag and drop apps to change their position in home screens
- Redesigned camera app
- Improved and customizable camera widgets
- Camera will automatically scan a document
- You can clip images
- Better gallery editor
- Better emojis
And many others…
For now, keep checking your A34 and A54 for the new update. However, it should be noted that these updates take some time to arrive in countries like Kenya, so don’t worry if you do not see it immediately.
