Mo Elshenawy joins Wasoko, MaxAB as Board Director

Mo Elshenawy, former President and CTO of Cruise has joined Wasoko and MaxAB as an Independent Board Director and Technical Advisor.

The move seems to strengthen the combined entity’s position as a leading African tech company and empower its network of informal retailers.

Elshenawy brings extensive AI experience and a track record of scaling large tech companies. He will accelerate Wasoko and MaxAB’s tech development and AI capabilities.

The company aims to become a Pan-African ecosystem for B2B informal retailers, offering a range of fintech services and expanding access to essential goods and services.
