Under the hood, Suzuki offers a variety of engine options, catering to different driving preferences. Among these, the 1.3-liter turbodiesel engine, developed in collaboration with Fiat, stands out as the most fuel-efficient choice. It also has a 1.4 petrol engine, giving a good 15-18 km per litre in terms of fuel economy.
Transmission options included a 4-speed automatic, available exclusively on select gasoline models, while others featured standard 5- or 6-speed manual gearboxes.
Suzuki, renowned for its expertise in crafting small cars, introduced the Suzuki Ciaz in 2016, strengthening its presence in the compact sedan market. This sedan, designed to succeed the former Suzuki SX4 sedan, which was a collaborative effort with Italian manufacturer Fiat, brought a touch of sportiness to the segment.
Inside the Suzuki Ciaz, a well-equipped cabin awaited drivers and passengers, complete with a user-friendly touch-screen infotainment system. The instrument cluster features four dials and a central information panel thoughtfully positioned between the tachometer and speedometer. Notably, safety was a priority, as the entire range of Ciaz models comes standard with dual airbags and additional safety features. This commitment to safety earned the Ciaz a commendable 4-star ANCAP (Asian EuroNCAP) rating.
