Samsung Galaxy Unpacked is less than one month away

Are we going to see more Galaxy AI features?

In less than a month, Samsung will host its second Unpacked event to announce some key devices and accessories. If you’re wondering if this is too soon, well, it’s true; the company announced the S24 series just a few months ago that are already making millions of sales worldwide.

This time around – on July 10th specifically – Samsung plans to wow the world with new releases, which we can’t fully establish now. But if you follow this space, then there’s a high chance you’ve already guessed them.

The show will be staged in Paris, France, the same city that will host this year’s Olympics. Coincidence? Probably, considering it’s one of the lead sponsors for the sporting event.

I’m looking forward to the Galaxy Ring – a rumoured wearable that’s been on the internet for weeks now. If announced, the ring will likely be packed with tons of wellness features (heart rate monitoring, sleep tracking, and much more), and will obviously be connected to your Galaxy device. There are very few smart rings out there, and Samsung, being a powerhouse in mobile technology, has a chance to get this product to the masses.

In the past, Samsung held the Unpacked event in August (after the announcement of Galaxy S series phones at the Mobile World Congress). This time around, it’s happening earlier, and my guess is that Samsung wants to have enough wiggle room in terms of units sold before other rivals can launch their products. Samsung could also be trying to make the smartphone space more interesting, considering the past few weeks have been quite stale in that department.

Samsung Kenya says it will round up media and friends of the industry for an exclusive Unpacked experience in Nairobi. We will be there to talk about the show and answer your questions as they come.
