Samsung is finally rolling out the One UI 8 update to Galaxy S23 phones in Kenya, after first pushing it to the S25 series and the S24 lineup in September.
The update is also reaching the latest Galaxy A models, signalling a broader release across its ecosystem.
Last year’s One UI 7 (based on Android 15) rollout was not the most timely. Samsung delayed it for months, and when it arrived, some features were deliberately kept exclusive to the S25 series. That move angered many users who felt left behind, especially on still-powerful flagships like the S23 and S22.
One UI 8 doesn’t look dramatically different, but it’s a deeper system overhaul focused on performance, stability, and groundwork for future features. Insiders say One UI 8.5, expected later, could finally bring the visual changes and polish fans have been waiting for.
