How to check 2023 KCPE results

Kenya has marked the end of the 8-4-4 system with this years Kenya Certificate of Primary Education Examinations (KCPE). Thus, the stage has been set for the adoption of the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).

In early November this year, almost 1.5 million pupils sat for their KCPE exams, marking an end to their primary school education, and also of the 38-year era of the 8-4-4 education system.

To get the results, simply type in the candidate(s) Index Number send an SMS message to 40054. Each SMS will cost you Kshs 25.

The Cabinet Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Ezekiel Machogu, is set to announce the results. They herald a new era for the adoption of the Competence Based Curriculum (CBC).

Earlier in the week, Machogu announced that the results would be released earlier to help facilitate the placement process into secondary schools. Parents will have ample time for preparation for the admission of their children to secondary schools.
