Seiko Epson Corporation has launched a new sales company, Epson Middle East FZCO [EME], to expand in key markets like Africa, Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East, Moldova, Türkiye, and Ukraine, with centralized management from Dubai, UAE.
EME aims to accelerate revenue growth over the next five years by focusing on printing, scanning, and visual display solutions. Neil Colquhoun, formerly Vice President of CISMETA Europe BV, now serves as President of Epson EME.
The company will emphasize sustainable technologies, including business inkjet and ink tank printing systems, offering advantages like lower power consumption and reduced waste.
“Establishing Epson EME demonstrates our commitment to customers and partners in the region, that we will continue to invest and grow our presence in all key markets, from Africa to the Middle East to Central Asia, while centralising operations in our Dubai-based office. This investment will give us the agility and ability to address the changing needs of customers in these dynamic, fast-growing markets with our key areas of printing, scanning, and visual display solutions.”
Epson reported significant sales growth in FY2022 in the Middle East, Turkey, Africa, Central Asia, Caucasus, and Ukraine.
As EME becomes operational in April 2024, Epson plans to hire 45% more employees, focusing on diversity and inclusivity. Major offices will be in the UAE, South Africa, and Türkiye, supported by operations in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Kenya, Nigeria, Israel, Kazakhstan, and Ukraine. Expansion of the reseller and distributor network is also planned.
