The electric buses operate in selected routes within the capital, making the exercise one of its kind in Rwanda. Add to that digital payment platforms such as Tap-and-Go fare collection systems, and the exercise will be a seamless transport experience.

With over 200 electric buses promised by 2025, Rwanda is poised to benefit significantly from the partnership, and in its overall bid to electrify its public transport systems.
