Absa Bank Kenya has unveiled its latest branch at BBS Mall in Nairobi’s bustling Eastleigh district. This branch, serving the local community, doubles as Absa’s flagship La Riba center, offering innovative solutions tailored to the market’s needs.
During the launch, Abdi Mohamed, Absa Bank Kenya’s Managing Director, highlighted the range of services available, including transactional accounts, savings, and Shariah-compliant investments.
“We’re expanding our network to better serve our customers, particularly in Eastleigh, a hub of business activity,” said Mohamed, emphasizing their commitment to supporting local businesses.
To address market needs, Absa introduced Kenya’s first Shariah-compliant structured investment notes, providing premier clients with offshore exposure and potential returns while protecting their capital. Additionally, they introduced unsecured personal lending solutions targeting government employees.
Mohamed underscored Absa’s focus on governance and diversity by expanding the Shariah Board, ensuring a wide range of perspectives to meet diverse customer needs responsibly.
