Xiaomi launches Redmi Note 15 series in Kenya

Xiaomi has launched the Redmi Note 15 Series in Kenya, featuring three models — Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G, Redmi Note 15 Pro, and Redmi Note 15. The lineup focuses on durability, battery endurance, camera upgrades and balanced performance.

Each model features “Redmi Titan Durability,” combining a strengthened frame, dust and water resistance, and long battery life.

The Redmi Note 15 Pro+ 5G leads with a 6,500mAh silicon–carbon battery supporting 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It retains 80% capacity after 1,600 cycles, roughly six years of use. The Note 15 Pro and Note 15 include 6,000mAh batteries with similar reverse-charging support.

Built with reinforced materials and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, the Note 15 Pro+ 5G withstands drops up to 2.5 metres and holds SGS certification for shock and bend resistance. It also carries IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, verified by TÜV SÜD for water-resistance up to two meters for 24 hours. All models feature Wet Touch 2.0, ensuring screen usability when wet.

The Note 15 Series introduces significant camera upgrades. The Note 15 Pro+ 5G debuts a 200MP HPE sensor with 2× and 4× in-sensor zoom and advanced AI processing. The Pro features versatile focal lengths from 23mm to 92mm, while the base model includes a 108MP system with 3× telephoto capability. AI tools like Remove Reflection, Beautify, and Creativity Assistant support editing and sharing.

Performance is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 on the Pro+ and the latest Snapdragon and MediaTek chips across the range. The IceLoop cooling system boosts thermal efficiency. The series integrates Google Gemini, Circle to Search, and Xiaomi’s HyperAI features.

Displays range from 6.77 to 6.83 inches with 3,200 nits peak brightness and triple eye protection. Audio output is boosted up to 400%.

Prices start at KES 24,999 for the Note 15, KES 36,999 for the Note 15 Pro, and KES 54,999 for the Note 15 Pro+ 5G. Available at Xiaomi stores, Safaricom outlets, Mi.com/KE, and Jumia, each device includes a 25-month warranty and launch offers like free Redmi Buds 6 Play and data bundles.
