Samsung has added Microsoft’s AI assistant Copilot to its 2025 range of TVs and Smart Monitors, making conversational AI available on the biggest screens in the home. The move signals how television is shifting from a passive viewing device to an interactive platform where users can search, learn, and complete tasks without leaving the screen.
Copilot will be built into Samsung’s Tizen operating system and available across Samsung Daily+ (its lifestyle hub), Click to Search, and Bixby, the company’s voice assistant. Users can access the tool by voice command or via the remote and ask questions about what they are watching, request summaries, check quick facts, or get support with language learning and explaining complex ideas.
Samsung says the rollout builds on recent upgrades to its on-screen features, including expanded contextual search and integration of AI-driven recommendations. The company has been the world’s top TV manufacturer for 19 years, giving it a large base of households where Copilot could become part of everyday use.
For Microsoft, the partnership extends Copilot beyond PCs and smartphones into living room displays, positioning the assistant as a cross-device companion. The companies describe the collaboration as part of a broader strategy to bring more interactive, conversational tools to home entertainment and learning.
Samsung is betting that users want more than streaming and gaming on their displays—they want an all-in-one screen that can answer questions, support daily activities, and connect with other digital services.
