TikTok has launched its artist analytics platform in Kenya, expanding a tool it rolled out globally earlier this year. The service, TikTok for Artists, provides musicians, their labels, and management teams with detailed data on how their music is performing on the app.
TikTok has become a key driver of African music discovery, shaping charts, streaming habits, and careers. With streaming services now central to artist income, granular data on how songs and posts spread on TikTok could influence marketing decisions, tour planning, and release strategies in one of the world’s fastest-growing music markets.
The platform offers daily updated dashboards tracking song performance — including views, creator engagements, and posts per track — and post-level metrics such as completion rates, likes, comments, and shares. Audience insights break down fan demographics by gender, age, and language.
TikTok for Artists also introduces a Pre-Release tool in Kenya. This tool allows musicians to run campaigns for upcoming albums and gives fans the option to pre-save on services like Spotify and Apple Music. Artists can share access with managers and labels.
The service is open to all certified TikTok Artist Accounts.
